moving up

Gabe moved on to the next class (3-5 yrs olds) at the Dancing Moose Montessori and now goes three times a week (M, W, and F).  Along with play time and recess/movement activities, his new schedule includes 1 to 1 1/2 hrs a day (in 30 min. increments) of Montessori Work, which includes language, reading, writing, mathematics, art, science, social studies, practical life, and sensorial work.  One day, the kids were given play money and were allowed to buy treats from "the store" that they got to bring home.  Gabe bought a toy car and batman magnets.

He still has a hard time in the mornings getting motivated (don't we all), but he seems to enjoy school more these days.  His teachers - Miss Jill and Miss Amy - seem real nice and he seem to be enjoying his new class and classmates.
