Camping in Sand Hollow

Its been waaaay too long since I posted.  Time is flying too fast.  But this past weekend (October 21-23) we were able to slow down and enjoy some family time at Sand Hollow State Park in Southern Utah.  Dave's sister, Heather made the reservations for the camp site and invited the whole family to join her, John, and the kiddos for the weekend.  We got there on Friday afternoon.  We took John's four-wheelers for a quick spin before dinner that evening, then enjoyed dinner, an outdoor movie (using Dave's projector) and a nice camp fire.  Heather and John have a nice trailer and we were fortunate enough to stay in there with them.

Saturday morning, we took more turns four-wheeling (me with Gabe going at a very slow speed :) while waiting for Beth and Ben, Emma, and Bridger to join us.  Then we took the boat out to the lake and enjoyed boating and the beach.   The young kids (Gabe, Nikki, and Eris) played in the water for hours.  We - the older kids - were not as dedicated :)

We had a great "dutch oven" dinner and dessert that evening, thanks to Judy.  The kiddos were tired so the evening was cut a little short for some of us, while the others stayed up trading stories by a fire.  ''

On Sunday, we had another great breakfast, packed up ... and drove 5 hours back to SLC, where the fall has made its home :)
