Valentine's Day

On Valentine's Day, Gabe's Dancing Moose class invited parents to help the kids with valentine arts and crafts and cookie decorating.  The kids made hart shaped valentines, drew pictures, and made necklaces with cut up red & white straws and pink and red beads.  Afterwards, they had circle time while the volunteers set up the tables for cookie decorations.  They were told that the cookies were for later and they were not allowed to eat them or the frosting.  I was AMAZED that they all listened.  Afterwards, they exchanged their valentines - cards, candy, and small toys or stickers.  It was a fun time and it gave me an opportunity to get to know his teachers and classmates a little better.
